We selected 23 of these images for further investigation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The points of view that gave origin to the historic photos were mapped through field research and consultations with residents and researchers. Six of these photographs were then remade by the team, from the same point of observation, as well as video interviews with 12 residents of Rocinha and surrounding areas.
